I have had a busy week and am only now getting caught up on my bird reports. Although it is a bit late, I wanted to share some good birds from Mount Desert Island last weekend:
- Gadwall. 1 was at MDI High School water treatment ponds 15 September.
- Lesser Yellowlegs. 2 were at Babson Creek Preserve, Somesville, and Thompson Island, at the head Mount Desert Island, on 15 September.
- Common Tern. 2 were still present at Thompson Island on 15 September.
- Philadelphia Vireo. 1 was at MDI High School water treatment ponds 15 September.
- Yellow-breasted Chat. 1 was working the alders along the shoreline near Jordan Pond House in Acadia National Park.
- Vesper Sparrow. 1 was at Thompson Island on 15 September.
