Nothing dramatic happening out here bird-wise, but it's all good. Right now a raven is calling overhead...
Highlights for me from yesterday, which I spent with Chris Borg and a few hours with Doug Hitchcox and Paul Miliotis:
N. Gannet-100+ fishing a hot spot off White Head along with some porpoises
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher-1, at the Novelty while we ate pizza
RT Hummingbird-several birds still seen daily
Veery-1, thanks to Doug: first thrush of the trip
Am. Pipit-2 flyovers
Horned Lark-1 flyover
Eastern Towhee-1, in Cathedral Woods
White-crowned Sparrow-2
Lark Sparrow-1 continues
Dickcissel-2
Rusty Blackbird-2
Seen by others but not me:
Blue-winged Teal-1
Wood Duck-1
YC Night-heron-1 continuing juvenile was last seen at Hitchcock House on Horn Hill Tuesday p.m.
Swainson's Thrush-1 (Bryan Pfeiffer)
Philadelphia Vireo-1 put on a good show at the Ice Pond in the a.m.
Scarlet Tanager-1
Good birding!
