[Maine-birds] Northern Maine Birds: Eurasian Wigeon continues

Hi All,

Just a quick note to say the eclipse plumaged Eurasian Wigeon continues to be seen at Lake Josephine in Easton.  I got some documentation-quality (read really bad) photos of the bird again last night just before the deluge set in.

There were a bajillion molting Mallards and lots of hen Gadwall with juvies still in the pond, but most of the American Wigeon and Ring-necked Ducks seem to have moved up to Christina Reservoir in Fort Fairfield.  Northern Shovelers have done thier usual vanishing act for July.  Hope to see one again soon..

The still chick-less Ruddy Ducks and Redhead juvies continue to be seen in the pond just south of Lake Jo.

A Red-necked Grebe was seen last week at Christina too.

Good Birding
Bill
