Hit the lagoon early, in hopes of a photo of a Blk Skimmer. None there, but not to worry...there is a group of 12 still hanging out near Yarmouth, NS, and they'll be in Maine shortly.
The Ad Male Hudsonian Godwit (seen yesterday) was with a small group of SBDowitchers in the lagoon, and cooperated for some photos before departing for Atkins Bay, where he was visible off Green Point later.
In other news, a group of 7 motorized hang gliders (or para sails) buzzed directly over the tern/plover nesting colony, causing widespread panic and mayhem among all the birds in the area. I have photos of 5 of the 7, and hope some action might be taken.
