[Maine-birds] Evergreen Cemetery, Portland

There is a double crested cormorant in the pond at Evergreen Cemetery that broke its wing during spring migration and has been unable to fly, so lives at the pond. Lately I've noticed that there is a Canada goose that also never left. There were 3 geese for quite awhile this spring, and eventually 2 left and the last one stayed. I'm assuming that it too is unable to fly. But, the cormorant and the goose have been hanging out together quite a bit, usually sitting together on a log in the water. It is very sweet to see the 2 of them together. I do wonder what will happen this fall.
