York County

Two BLACK SKIMMERS were reported from the Basket Island sandbar off Hills Beach in Biddeford on August 1; possibly the pair that has been here since early July.

Greater Portland

At least two WHITE-FACED IBIS continue to be seen around the Scarborough Marsh with possibly a third also present.

On the 1st, two SANDHILL CRANES were photographed along North Raymond Road in a field across from Mailman Road.

Midcoast

A pair of MUTE SWANS continues to be regular at the Winnegance Causeway in Phippsburg.

Penobscot Bay

First seen on July 25th, the WHITE-WINGED DOVE that was visiting feeders at the end of Kaler Street in Winterport was last reported on the 28th.

Central Maine

A pair of AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKERS continues to be seen along the Harvester Road west of Baxter State Park, most recently reported on July 31.

Northern Maine

Continuing from July 13th, a drake EURASIAN WIGEON was seen again at Lake Josephine in Easton on the 28th.
