Re: [Maine-birds] Hoodies

Spring is here for me, when Hooded Mergs show up... today on Goose Rocks Rd., Kennebunkport.  At the end of King's Highway, off Goose Rocks Rd., in the cloudy cold and wind, the tide was too high to find the plovers. There were 3 people running out on the sand bar. On Arundel Rd., Kennebunkport, no snipe found, but 3 TVs were sitting in the field farther back from where the habitat looked good for snipe. The field was no longer flooded, however. 

Peepers were calling loudly on Grammar Rd., Sanford, last night as I went by. Didn't hear any quacks, but didn't stop.
