[Maine-birds] meadowlark and kestrel

Had a slow birdwalk this a.m. down the road from my house in Sidney. Was able to add hermit thrush and Nashville warbler to my list of firsts-of-the-year.

But on the 8 Rod Road in Waterville, I finally had a meadowlark. I have been checking often, without luck, til today. And I also got to watch a kestrel catch and eat a mouse.
