[Maine-birds] No sign of Ancient Murrelet at Petit Manan on 5/24

Hello Maine Birders:

I was out on The Islander with Acadian Nature Cruises out of Bar Harbor yesterday. We went to Petit Manan Island midday and I had Ancient Murrelet on my mind but I did not pick one out. It was a bit foggy and we were in a boat so we may have missed it but I didn't see it. Force of will was not sufficient.

There was a subadult Peregrine Falcon out there and we watched it pluck an unidentified lifeless Alcid off the water. Atlantic Puffin was my best guess but...

Good birding,
Eric
