Re: [Maine-birds] Possible Bronzed Cowbird, Capisic Pond

I looked at it briefly when I got home and the Bronzed Cowbird would have a red eye. I was also mulling a young crow. I also saw a fledgling Northern Cardinal there today so the time of year for the youngsters to add a diagnostic wrinkle is here!

Maybe wishful thinking on my part and just a Brown-headed, seen and photographed also by Rob O'Connell who first saw it, lousy light so we dismissed it as a Brown-headed, but the bird was very dark brown and the bill seemed larger and thicker
