Today marked the end of a 5-day Road Scholar birding tour surrounding the Downeast Spring Birding Festival. Highlight of the day: a couple of Red-throated Loons at Quoddy Head State Park, obviously paired up.
And, thanks to Bruce Deuce (Junior) who continues to make it easy to find a Lubec spruce grouse. Thanks also to Ed, a spruce grouse in the Edmunds Division of Moosehorn that has been in the same spot for three of the last four years. Sure takes the pressure off.
