A/the LITTLE EGRET is feeding along the shore across the Presumpscot River from Gilsland Farm in Falmouth. This is presumably the same bird that was around earlier this year but I haven't seen any reports since 11 Aug. No visible plumes but structurally pretty easy to pick out from the Snowy Egrets it is foraging with.
The bird has been working its was up river as the tide comes in and will probably be best viewed from the North Meadow or possibly up toward Tidewater Farm.
