We saw the Cattle Egret which is lingering at Old Sow Farm in Lubec this morning. Also, on the road into the new cemetery in Lubec we saw a Cackling Goose in the company of 100+ Canada Geese.
I know this next part doesn't fit with Maine birds but I gotta tell you about it! We drove over to Campobello Island and proceeded in the next 1.5 hours to see a Hooded Warbler, 4 Yellow-throated Vireos, a Yellow-billed Cuckoo and a Tree Sparrow. Now, that's an odd combination of birds for a that place and this time of year!!
