[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week, 11/17-23

Hi all,

My other observations of note, in addition to what I have previously posted, over the past seven days included:

- continued great sparrow-age at the store's feeders this week including a continuing imm. White-crowned Sparrow through 11/17, a Chipping Sparrow through 11/21 and a continuing Fox Sparrow that was joined by a second on 11/20 through week's end.

- Above-average numbers of Fox Sparrows continue in an above-average number of places throughout the week.

- 1 Black-bellied Plover and 1 imm. White-crowned Sparrow, Wolfe's Neck Center, Freeport, 11/17 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).

- 2 "Ipswich" Savannah Sparrows, 5 Red-winged Blackbirds with about 40 Common Grackles, and 2 Northern Flickers, Pott's Point, Harpswell, 11/19 (with Jeannette).

- 2 Lapland Longspurs with 16 Horned Larks, Stover's Point, Harpswell, 11/19.

- 4 EVENING GROSBEAKS, our yard in Pownal, 11/20.
