[Maine-birds] MACHIAS SEAL ISLAND REPORT

It seems that there's more interest in the MSI Species List than I anticipated.
The URL which I posted only allows 50 downloads so here are 2 more URLs. each will permit 50 downloads so if you find that one URL isn't working, simply use the next URL. It's exactly the same file in each case.

We have a handful of PURPLE FINCHES newly arrived.

Bird Of The Day is undoubtedly a 1st year GREAT BLUE HERON.
It's hunkered down at the edge of the lawn, trying to rest and sleep. It's drooping one wing a bit so I suspect that it's injured.
It's likely exhausted, too, as the past bit of adverse weather would limit its feeding opportunities.
There's bare, unfrozen ground here but the mainland is a different story.
Hopefully it will rally enough to exit the region.
