A friend who lives in Tenants Harbor and works on Vinalhaven has been seeing quite a few BG Gnatcatchers throughout the Midcoast this spring, including in his own yard. Our yard in Camden has finally joined the party. I could have sworn I'd heard one a couple days ago, but thought my ears were playing tricks on me, because I've never seen one in Camden--but today I finally laid eyes on the little guy! That's Yard Bird #92 for us.
Also, finally, had some new warblers at Fernalds Neck Preserve in Lincolnville this morning, 12 species altogether, including a number of Blackburnians and 1 Black-throated Blue.
Hope you're all getting out in this glorious weather!
