[Maine-birds] American Pipit and Fox Sparrow at Walkers Pt
Pat Moynahan, Nancy Houlihan and I had some great birds today as we toured our section for the Biddeford-Kbunk CBC, especially at Walkers Point in Kbunkpt. A fox sparrow in the brush directly across from the Arundel Inn and FOUR American Pipits on the beach and snow right at the gates to the Bush compound. BTW, if you want to have a great day and lots of fun at a count, bird with these two! Also, a very late Piedbilled Grebe on...
[Maine-birds] LOY Peregrine, Sharpie and COGO Saco River, Downtown
As the sun is almost gone I figured I'd share these Last of Year sightings with you ;)I saw the Peregrine prosecuting a flock of pigeons over Springs Island and Water Street in Saco this afternoon. Then it landed on the post that supports the power lines in front of Deering Lumber on Elm St (Rt1) in Biddeford just passed the bridge from Saco onto Springs Island. A flock of pigeons sat nervously on the power lines nearby. ...
