Re: [Maine-birds] Vultures pick at visitor's cars in the Everglades

Perhaps a bit off topic, avian-wise at least, but my favorite car
attack incident occurred at a "wildlife safari" drivethrough park near
Niagra Falls. After being warned NOT TO FEED THE MONKEYS, the folks
ahead of us immediately rolled down their rear window and offered a
ripe banana. A scurrying troupe of monkeys (I don't recall the
species) mounted the hood and roof of the car and began snapping off
the car's radio attenna. When we encountered the vehicle again at the
end of the tour, the monkeys had extracted about two-thirds of the
front windshield's rubber gasket material which resembled a 5 foot
long black snake. LOL.
