[Maine-birds] Sandy Point Morning Flight (Orange-crowned Warbler, Dickcissel, White-breasted Nuthatches), 9/17

Hi all,

 

A moderate flight passed over and through Sandy Point Beach, Cousin's Island, Yarmouth this morning, once again peppered with some goodies.  Mostly calm winds overnight resulted in a lighter flight at the point than would be suggested by the intensity of the overnight radar images.

 

6:23-9:15am.

39F, mostly clear, calm.

2 WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCHES – two birds crossed together, my first-ever instance of more than one WBNU crossing at a given time.  Three birds on 9/21/07 was my only other multiple-WBNU day.
