167 Scaup (about 90% Lesser)
160 Canada Geese
85 American Black Ducks
29 Buffleheads
26 Ring-necked Ducks (first of fall)
10+ Mallard x American Black Duck hybrids
10 American Coots
9 BLACK SCOTERS
9 Ruddy Ducks (low)
6 Common Goldeneye (first of fall)
6 Hooded Mergansers
4 American Wigeon
2 Gadwall
2 Green-winged Teal
1 BLUE-WINGED TEAL (late)
1 Common Merganser (first of fall)
and an impressive flock of 700+ American Crows streaming southwest
- 1 Northern Shrike, Rte 136, Auburn, 11/1.
- Although the CLAY-COLORED SPARROW has not been seen here at the store since dusk on the 27th, the feeder watching has been very good.  Daily Common Grackles (up to 12) were joined by 5 Red-winged Blackbirds on 10/27 and a female Brown-headed Cowbird on 11/1.

And an update from the local "good fields:"
- The adult GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE continues, now splitting its time between Thornhurst Farm and the fields along Greely Road.
- The high count of Canada Geese this week was 739 among all fields on 11/2.
- Other observations:
8 Horned Larks, Greely Road, 10/30 (with Jeannette)
1 1st winter Iceland Gull, Cross Road, Cumberland, 10/31 (likely same bird as at Thornhurst Farm on 10/30).
