The American White Pelican was elusive earlier this morning but was found off Camp Benson Road around 9:00. It swam out of the cove and stood on a rock preening for a few minutes but was flushed by an eagle around 9:20 and flew towards the boat launch off Elm Street. I haven't been able to relocate it since then.
This is my first time seeing a pelican while it was snowing.
