A fellow birder and I did a few loops around Schoodic Peninsula and got a close look at a Red-throated Loon in Long Cove directly off of Route 1 in Sullivan (and I mean directly! Three steps forward we were wet, one step back we were dead). On the loop around Schoodic we saw several pairs of Buffleheads, a group of 8 Red-breasted Mergansers, a Greater Yellowlegs, 4 Black Guillemots, many Common Eiders, and a lone Pine Warbler. Seas were rough at the Point.
