Birds of interest at Sears Island today were an adult Northern Goshawk in a tree near an open area along the Homestead Trail, about 10 White-winged Crossbills in the same general area (as well as another similar-sized Crossbill flock which were flying low across the water toward the mainland), 3 FOY American Tree Sparrows and about 10 Scaup that were too far offshore to ID.
