Yesterday was my very first visit to Scarborough Beach State Park. I saw many Long Tailed Ducks and 1 Common Loon in Winter Plumage. The real treat was to see my favorite bird of all, the Surf Scoter. There were 2 impressive Drakes with an incredible head display. There were also 5 females close by weary of the males at times. I encourage anyone interested to seek out these birds. --
