We have a game cam set up near our bird feeder to be able to "see" our nightly visitors. Even though we are in Portland, we have regular skunk, possum, and fox visitors, with a few raccoons and neighboring cats coming thru. We have been seeing a lighted blur a few times that is caught in the air, but reflected by the flash of the camera enough to show.
Last night our nightly fox was there, and the flying blur came thru, it was enough that the cam showed the fox twirling around at the sound and then looking up into the tree. We cannot see that far up in the tree from the camera.
So our thoughts are: Bat, small owl, flying squirrel.
We had a hawk in the bird feeder tree this morning, which made me want to ask this group would a hawk be moving around at night?
