Also, I must have heard 20 vireos, without seeing a single one.

No chickadees! This has me worried that the population took a hit due to last winter's ice storms. Sandy and I have had next to none at the feeders, but I was hoping that that was somehow because we got here a month later than usual this year. But there are usually many chickadees around the river.
