I got a poor view of what is probably a Seaside Sparrow at the eastern end of Eastern Road. It was perched briefly, large, heavy Ammodramus, very dark, grayish. In flight is was obviously larger than the two sharp-tailed sparrow. It landed in the Spartina and never re-emerged. Something to keep in mind if you're out there.
The pans didn't have many shorebirds but there were 2 worn adults among the Lesser Yellowlegs. At least 12 Least Terns and a/the hybrid heron.
Best, Peter
