[Maine-birds] Trip to Big Sur, California Condor #51

My wife and I stayed at the Deetjen Inn at 225.00 per night. We did two hikes ten mile each, first day Tan Bark Trail, saw a Great gray owl and Vaux Swift, two best birds that day. Second day we did Julia Pffeiffer Burns State Park up Ewoldsen Trail to overlook Trail, great view of the ocean and two far away Condors made their way into a valley to the left of us. Number fifty one tagged on wing was seen as the Condor came right at us to see if we were food. My camera was busy but the light was not great. I ended my trip outside of San Diego at Tijuana Estuary and walked Imperial Beach were the Snowy Plover is Protected.
Birds of note: Snowy Plover, Least Tern, Yellow Crowned Night Heron, Clapper Rail, Gull billed Tern.
Big Sur California Condor, Quail, Towhee, Spotted Towhee, Cassins Vireo, Western Meadow Lark, Nuttalls Woodpecker, Stellar's Jay, D.E. Junco Oregon race, Western Flycatcher Pacific Slope, Oak titmouse this trip was fun and loaded with birds.
Other animals were Links, snakes, reptiles and elephant Seals.
