[Maine-birds] Owls Head MEW GULL - YES, but no luck with Rockland BLACK-HEADED GULL

Stella and I had a nice drive up to Rockland where we immediately got the Mew Gull at Owls Head, and a beautiful Iceland's Gull nearby.  We then drove over to the fish pier in Rockland, but had no luck getting the Black-headed Gull after several attempts before and after lunch.

 

In route home, we stopped in Bath to see if any Common Mergansers were on the river, but found nothing but a few Herring Gulls.  We then went to the Bath landfill to search for any white-winged gulls, but only found a lot of Herring Gulls and a few Great Black-backed Gull and 3 Bald Eagles (and a 100+ Starlings).
