[Maine-birds] Wood Duck

This morning around 9 o'clock, there was a male Wood Duck (among the dozens of Mallards) on the river along Alder Street (near the foot bridge) in Skowhegan.  I check this spot  nearly every day, and this is the first time I've seen this bird this winter.  Hard to believe it could be an early migrant.  It may have already been somewhere in the area and went looking of a better food supply.
