[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights, 2/20-26

Hi all,
Observations of note from me over the past seven days, including the vanguard of spring migrants, were as follows:

- 800+ Greater Scaup continue, etc, Simpson's Point, Brunswick, 2/20 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk Group).
- 1 drake Northern Pintail, Eastern Road Trail, Scarborough Marsh, 2/21.
- 12 Northern Pintails (11 drakes, 1 hen), Jones Creek, Scarborough Marsh, 2/21.
- 2 Yellow-rumped Warblers, Community Park, Wells, 2/23 (with Jeannette).
- 2 male RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS, feeders here at the store, 2/23. One through week's end.
~ 25 Bohemian Waxwings with 30+ Cedar Waxwings and 100+ American Robins, Viles Arboretum, Augusta, 2/25.
- 2 1st-winter  Iceland Gulls, Hatch Hill Landfill, Augusta, 2/25.
- 27 Harlequin Ducks, Dyer Point to Two Lights State Park, 2/26 (with clients).
- 4 Iceland Gulls (2 ad, 1 3rd-W, 1 1st-W), Portland Harbor, 2/26.
