[Maine-birds] Red-billed Tropicbird at Seal Island

The seas on the way out and back to Seal Island from Old Quarry Ocean Adventures were again very inactive. A few puffins and Wilson's Storm petrels were all that was seen. Pelagics all depend on weather and current. Puffins, Great Cormorants, Arctic Tern, Ruddy Turnstone, Killdeer, Least Sandpiper, Spotted Sandpiper and Semipalmated Sandpiper were all seen milling about the shore. After a 5 minute wait at the end of the island tour, the Red-billed Tropicbird came out to preen and bath in the cove. We had a couple good looks on the water and in flight as he moved around as well as heard call for the irst time this season as a tern harassed the bird. We are 5/7 this season with this warm, clear weather holding.
