Hi all,
Some other observations of note over the past seven days included:
-Cape May Warblers in a wide range of places, more than I usually encounter, perhaps suggesting an increase due to the eastward spread of a Spruce Budworm cycle.
- 1 early hen Northern Pintail, Sanford Lagoons, 8/28 (with Jeannette).
- 162 Common Nighthawks, over the store, 5:40-6:35pm, 8/30.
- 18 (!) species of warblers (led by lots of local Common Yellowthroats and 11+ Magnolia Warblers, but also including 3 Bay-breasted and 1 Cape May), Morgan Meadow WMA, Raymond, 8/31.
- 2 adult SANDHILLS CRANES, Pineland Farms fields along Mayall Road, Gray/New Gloucester, 8/31.
