In particular, they show a bit of what it's like when the Flickers hit and there's no bed at the inn.
On this treeless island they have to use any perch or crevice that they can find to shelter for the night.
It wouldn't be so bad but they are really quarrelsome and hate to share space. At the moment there are 3 lined up on the window next to my head, as close as 3 feet away.
This is at least the 10th change of individuals in the past 1/2 hour and I certain there will be more jostling before full night fall.
The avian equilivant to kicking and stealing all the blankets, I suppose.
