Visitors:
19 visitors today. The park was relatively quiet.
Weather:
Wind was howling all day from the E and SE. Clouds filled the sky with the exception of a small clearing to the E first thing this am. Temps were chilly and in the mid to high 40's. Visibility was very good all day long.
Raptor Observations:
We may have set the record for fewest birds counted on a full dry day in April. Not the records were looking to break but a small victory of sorts if were trying to stay positive. It was almost laughable at how few birds were in the skies today. We got a nice showing of a couple Eagles but that was over in a minute or two. Not even Red-tails were seen kiting in the wind.
Non-raptor Observations:
Quiet all around. I did managed to find 24 species for the day. Northbound birds include: 40 Double-crested Cormorants 3 Canada Geese 1 Purple Finch
Predictions:
Tomorrow looks like a repeat of today but this time I think the rain will have finally arrived. Strong winds from the E and temps in the 40's again. It's looking kind of like a complete wash at this point.
