Bradbury Mountain State Park
Pownal, Maine, USA
(No count conducted today)
Weather:
Heavy rain and strong winds shut us out today. Flooding and power outages affected the area.
Raptor Observations:
Non-raptor Observations:
Predictions:
We ought to be back tomorrow but the question is whether it will be a full day. The high winds we're having will likely persist during the day tomorrow along with a chance of showers. I am hoping that the current level of fog diminishes enough to open the count site on time in the morning. Wind direction looks favorable to some degree, predicted to be starting from the SSE and maybe turning SW during the afternoon. With mostly cloudy skies and likely fewer thermals, birds may be at eye level and passing by quickly with the strong tail winds. Oh, and it should be somewhat warm, in the low 50's for an air temp.
