Re: [Maine-birds] Scarlet Tanagers - Nobleboro

I was hoping for a picture but no further sighting of them today. Earliest I've seen them before was May, with pear trees in bloom. iNaturalist has a single April sighting in Maine, on the 18th in 2018 in Portland. Don't know how to coax the early sightings out of eBird.

Great sighting!  That is extremely early for anywhere in the northeast.  We don't get them down here in the NYC area until at least the end of april beginning of May.  Cool.

Male and Female in the apple trees. Initially assumed it was the Cardinal but black wings and the female moving with it convinced me.
A couple weeks early for sure but what is normal any more!
