While photographing a male and female BGGnatcatcher this morning at Hermit Island, a third contact call announced the arrival of a third bird into the mix. The flock was comprised of Field Sparrow, RCKinglets, Myrtle Warbler, and the gnatcatchers. Kind of like herding cats, but I believe I accounted for all in photos. The flock was foraging in bare Winterberry bushes, and avoiding Honeysuckles, which are leafing out.
Otherwise, on this raw misty morning, it was very quiet. --
