[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights and New Arrivals this week, 4/6-12

Hi all,

Just a couple (not previously posted here) observations of note from me over the past seven days:

- 1 White-winged Crossbill, Bradbury Mountain Hawkwatch, 4/9.

- migrants along the Eastern Promenade on 4/11 included 77 Song Sparrows, 14 Eastern Phoebes, and 1 Red-necked Grebe. 

 

And my additional first-of-years and new arrivals this week:

- Eastern Phoebe: 2, Florida Lake Park, Freeport, 4/6 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk Group).

- "Yellow" Palm Warbler: 1, Florida Lake Park, 4/8.

- Pied-billed Grebe: 1, Florida Lake Park, 4/8.

- Rusty Blackbird: 1+, Florida Lake Park, 4/9 (with Katrina Fenton).

- Savannah Sparrow: 5, Green Point WMA, Dresden, 4/9 (with Katrina Fenton).

- Wilson's Snipe: 3, Green Point WMA, 4/9 (with Katrina Fenton).

- Ruby-crowned Kinglet: 1, Eastern Promenade, Portland, 4/11.

- Hermit Thrush: 2 (first of spring), Eastern Promenade, 4/11.

- Swamp Sparrow (first of spring), Eastern Promenade, 4/11.
