[Maine-birds] another Eurasian Green-winged Teal at the Abby

Stopped by the Abby at 1 this afternoon, generally fewer ducks.

But there was a drake Eurasian Green-winged Teal and the white transverse bar was much brighter than the individual that was present up to 2 weeks ago.  Given the long time in between sightings and what was a snappier white bar, which I suspect can be a variable character depending on posture and alertness - I think this is a second individual.  I know Mike Fahay saw one over at Green Point WMA some 10 days ago but I am unclear whether 2 or 3 individuals are involved.

Also an adult eagle trying to capture a female Com Merg.  Eagle plunged down 12+ times flopping about in the water but never succeeded.

Best, Peter
