[Maine-birds] Cumberland County migrants, incl Swamp Sparrow

A birdy day today - glad I played hooky. Anyway, here are some
highlights from Old Town House Park (N Yarmouth), Evergreen Cemetery and
Capisic Pond (Portland), and Gisland Farm (Falmouth). The last two
locations and a brief 2nd trip to Evergreen were with Katrina "Can't
Stop Birdin" Fenton. A special thanks to Liz at Gisland Farm who took
the time to show us around the Nature Center - go check out their
Ivory-billed!

Wood Duck - 1 male at Old Town House Park
GB Heron - 1 flying over I-295, Falmouth
Wilson's Snipe - 4 at Old Town House Park
Killdeer - over Capisic

Cooper's Hawk - adult, apparently displaying, near Capisic
Osprey - at least 6 at Capisic (5 seemed to be migrating), 5 at Gisland,
2 at Evergreen
Kestrel - at least 4 migrating over Capisic, 2 at Evergreen, 3 at
Gisland, and 1 on Royal Rd in N Yarmouth

it, Noah!
Bluebird - surprisingly only one, a male, Royal Rd in N Yarmouth
Mockingbird - at Evergreen
Pine Warbler - bright male at Evergreen, on the town trail past the
compost area - not singing
Palm Warbler - singles each at Old Town House Park and Evergreen Cemetery
Song Sparrow - a strong push of these - especially at Old Town House
Park (over 25) and Capisic Pond
SWAMP SPARROW - a solitary bird at Old Town House Park - haven't seen
this species posted recently
Am. Tree Sparrow - at least 1 at Capisic
Fox Sparrow - 3 at Capisic, two singing intermittently - really one of
the day's highlights!
Blackbirds - many, especially at Capisic (RWBL, COGR, BHCO, EUST)

Great Birding,
