[Maine-birds] New Sweden: Sharp-shinned hawk

Just as I hit "Send" on the other message, there was a flurry of wings and birds hitting the window: a Sharp-shinned hawk on the prowl! S/he's currently sitting in a maple tree out front, so apparently s/he was unsuccessful in the hunt.  S/he's been around since late last week.

On Saturday and Sunday, we saw - on drives around the area:
Wild turkey (single male)
Kestrels
Northern harrier
