I just wanted to add that I will be doing much of my navigating around the area by GPS, so feel free to share coordinates with me if you have them. I'm sure I'll be able to find the places either way, though.

Hello all,--
I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I'm taking a trip to Brunswick on April 24th to help my mom move back here. I've visited there before, but this is my first time as a birder and I really want to make the most of it (it's actually my first birding trip out of Michigan), since I don't know when I'll ever get the opportunity again. Unfortunately, I'll only have about two days of birding and most of it will have to be within about an hour's drive of Brunswick (though we might get as far as Acadia).
I've been eagerly following your posts and my heart races every time I see a sighting of an Alcid or anything else we wouldn't ever see around here (Harlequins, Eiders, Oystercatchers, etc.).
I'm hoping that some of you will help me make the most of my limited time in your beautiful state by sharing with me your advice for the must-see spots to find unique species within the boundaries of my trip (anything between Boston and Brunswick might be possible as well).
I'm also wondering if there's anywhere I should be looking online for sightings other than this group and eBird.
Any advice would be much appreciated! I can't wait to see some of the species and places I've been reading about!
Good birding!
