[Maine-birds] Webber Pond, Bremen

the pond started opening up over the weekend--first a channel and now all but a few shaded corners--.  On Wednesday five wood ducks swam past (3 male, 2 female) and then came up on my lawn--lovely --.  this morning first saw a common goldeneye pair and then five ringnecked ducks.  This afternoon there were two great blue herons standing in the cove.  So far have seen only five geese--hope the numbers stay down.  one song sparrow--no woodcock yet--
