[Maine-birds] 3 black-billed swans flyby at Seawall Beach- yesterday

I thought this would have been posted earlier (??) but Barbara and I saw 3 very large white swans with black bills fly SW over Seawall Beach yesterday shortly after 9 am. I had hoped that a posting might have alerted birders to be aware of them.

All adults, or at least not grayish, they were very large and clearly did not have orange knobs, thus eliminating Mute Swan. They were either Tundra or Trumpeter and did seem wicked big.

Hope they appear somewhere nearby, perhaps with the Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks!

We also saw a single Red Knot yesterday and a Sooty Shearwater from the beach several days earlier.

Best, Peter
