[Maine-birds] Re: Is there a way to ask DIFW to investigate ......

Hello Sue,

You can check out this online link to find many of Maine's bald eagle nests.  We will be updating the database with the 2013 statewide bald eagle nest survey.  In the future, surveying will be much more limited.
If you have further questions, you can reach me at 207 941 4481.  Thanks for keeping an eye out for these beautiful birds!

the  actual location of an active  Bald  Eagle nest?

I  was  " at  camp" last night  with just   immediate sibling   family for
a private  memorial  weekend,  just  a very low-key gathering  for  my
Mom who passed last   NYE, and we could all  get together for  heartfelt
remembrance  and   and interment  of her   cremains  this weekend.

While we were   porch sitting last  evening, it became   completely
obvious to  all who were sitting  there that  the  2 mature  Baldies who
were stooping on the   fish schools in the cove we abut   were  carrying
catch to   a nest   so close that we could hear the vocalizations of
eaglets and adults at the nest.

Does   DIFW   still compile  information on active breeding  BE nests?
