They were Hermit thrushes. Thanks to Marshall Iliff for the ID. Key diagnostic feature: the cocked tails, particularly on the juvenile. Red tail color also key.

While at the Schoodic Penisula section of Acadia NP last Saturday (8/17), we encountered these two thrushes which appeared to be together. One adult, one juvenile.
