I am on Deer Island which was hit by the hurricane on Saturday. Today while out birding the Deer Island Point rd which you can see Eastport ME from I observed a yellow headed bird with a black throat, an unstreaked breast. It also had white wing bars. If any of you are in the area please keep a look out for what I think is a stray Hermit warbler. It stayed several minutes before flying off. We have lots of black-throated greens on the island so I am used to seeing them but the all yellow head & unstreaked breast leads me to the hermit warbler. I am off the grid here but am sending this from a birding neighbor. (You could call them Linda Bosien or Joan Krasnoski)
