[Maine-birds] Re: Pink-footed Goose at Salt Bay

Checked the area twice today, after seeing Don's report. Amazingly, all the hay fields in the area are mostly devoid of snow, no thanks to the recent rain. No PFGoose, but a group of 25 Can. Geese were grazing in the field Don mentioned, until a walker strolled right into the field and flushed them. Probably no coincidence, but this group landed in the small field across the street from Bay View Farm, one of the first places the PFGoose was seen (Dec 24).

That leaves 12 geese unaccounted for, and as of 2:45, they were not found. But worth a continued check.

1 drake No. Pintail was loafing in the sun with a bunch of Black Ducks, creekside near the Oyster Creek Preserve.
