The Ross's Goose was upstream of Congress St. on the Fore River with 20 or so Canada Geese. They were going in and out of the reeds, and in and out of view. Noon time
There were NO birds in the fields on Strouwater St.

I too would be interested in when people have been seeing the Ross's Goose.  That area is in my territory for Saturday's Portland Christmas Bird Count and I don't want to miss it if it is still around.   I have found that if the geese are not in the fields on Stroudwater St. they can also be found in the Fore River at the Congress St. bridge at Stroudwater Crossing or sometimes in the marsh seen from Thompson Point.  Other places in the area to check for geese are in Long Creek or at the correctional center next to the airport and also Smiling Hill Farm on Rt.22.
I am also interested if anyone has seen any Snowy Owls at the airport recently.  By the way, the parking area on the south side of the runways where people would watch the planes and birders look for Snowy Owls is no longer available as a building is being constructed on that site and already has small planes in front of it.
    Thanks everyone.

Greetings, birding friends! Several times now I've cruised the fields along Stroudwater St. looking for the Ross's Goose at times of day when others have recently had the bird — and have yet to see a goose, a duck, a gull, a crow or even a starling in any of the fields. It's like the whole area has been crop-dusted with Bird-Be-Gone.

Any helpful guidance — not to mention further reports! — will be much appreciated.

Peace & good birding,
